Immersive weekends
Well, it all started during an April phone call with our North Carolina Poet Laureate Jaki Shelton Green. Jaki had accepted our invitation to participate in the opening of the Blue Juniper Inn and as one thing led to another, we agreed to host her Women’s Writing Retreat in September. Well, it sold out almost immediately, so we thought, what else might we do to advance this new concept in lodging and learning, and the Immersive Weekend concept was born. Soon we were talking with painters, chefs, writers, all about what we might do together. And now, for early 2025 we have:
