We’ll preview the weekend and the places we’ll visit; highlight the benefits of Nature Journaling, then distribute your journals and supplies**
5:30 Dinner together at Columbia Crossings restaurant
7:00 Sunset over the Scuppernong
We’ll set up our journals and make our first journal entries as we catch the beauty of the sunset
8:30 Return to Blue Juniper Inn
Saturday, April 12

9:30 Morning journaling at the Blue Juniper Inn
We’ll look at how drawing can be a part of our Nature Journaling practice, and practice step-by step ways to make drawing easier
11:30 Break
12:30 Picnic lunch
1:30 Lakeside Journaling (Meet at the Pettigrew State Park Office)
We’ll look at ways writing can be a part of our Nature Journaling practice, and explore types of journal writing while taking in the beauty of Lake Phelps
4:00 Break and Return to the Inn
5:15 Reflections on the day at the Blue Juniper Inn
A chance to share experiences and thoughts on Nature Journaling and our closing session
6:00 Dinner together at a local restaurant
Sunday, April 13

10:00 Your Nature Journaling practice
We’ll discuss different approaches to Nature Journaling as an ongoing practice
10:30 Weekend takeaways
In our closing session we’ll gather feedback on the workshop

Details
$195 Workshop fee (includes all instruction, journals, basic supplies**, Saturday lunch, plus snacks and beverages)
Registration deadline is Thursday, April 2.
Please note that workshop fees do not include dinner Friday and Saturday.
Also, participants are responsible for transportation to and from Lake Phelps. We’ll walk to all other Columbia locations.
** Supplies include 1 journal, 1 pencil and 1 pen, plus a set of 12 watercolor pencils for each person. For a list of additional suggested supplies see below:
